We can never agree on thse points because of the philosophical differences between Conservatives, and liberal pussies.
You see, liberals believe it is the job of the government to influence and control peoples' daily lives. They believe government should be there for welfare, and depriving gun owners of their rights, and various entitlement programs.
Basically, Sams hates Reagan because he didn't expand entitlements and welfare, whereas that was all bubba cared about. Foriegn Policy isn't considered by the lib because they feel it is unnecessary and only leads to conflict, which must be avoided at all cost.
Foriegn policy is much more imortant to a conservative than domestic policy. Basically, conservatives feel the government should do little more than provide roads and a military.
If you ask a liberal to rank the follwoing in terms of importance, you'll get something like this: Peace, Security, Oppurtunity. For a conservative, you'll get something like: Oppurtunity, Security, Peace.
A liberal would rather be at peace and deprived of oppurtinuty and live in fear than fight for Security and oppurtunity. Hence, it is plain to see why they hate Reagan and love Clinton. To a liberal, nothing is worth bleeding for.
They talk of the innocent people dying in Iraq, yet care nothing for the innocent killed in the womb. They hate the death penalty for criminals, but fight tooth and nail to preserve it for infants. Very strange I think. That is the other reason you can't compromise with them, they cannot reason logically. It is all based on emotion with them.
