Just curious what everybody's favorite fighting game is, regardless of console. I'm mainly talking about straight fighters here and not games such as The Warriors where the story line is central.
As far as fighters go I think Battle Arena Toshindon was my favorite of all time.
The recent Mortal Kombat is prettier and alot of fun but give me Mondo and Fo Fai any day.

Toshinden. All of them were quite good, making it the overall best series in my opinion.

I gotta agree Lukester Def Jam was better than I thought it'd be.
Oh and as coin-op fighters go I loved Pit Fighter.

I almost played Virtua Fighter 2 at the arcade at the bowling alley in Harogate but I couln't bring myself to shell out 50 cents for a game that old.

just played tekken 5 this weekend. it' like five games in one, besides regular play there is a quest game, and Tekken 1, Tekken 2 ver. 3 and tekken 3
