If I also say B5 will that be the subtle hint that truly good sci-fi hasn't made much headway on to TV? This is Captain Dexter Smith, commanding the Earth Alliance destroyer EAS AgrippaXanth, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't you have one of your patented Sheena Easton style crushes on Erin Grey during Buck Rogers? Oh, yes, she was quite nice. Still looking back at her during that time and she was quite attractive.

I think Bablyon 5 would be my next choice. I have just recently got to watch a season and it is a fantastic story. Other than that I loved the old Doctor who, (the new one is decent), and Buck Rogers was great.

I have to say that I prefer Crisis. While Secret Wars was very well done, the scope and boldness of Crisis surpassed it. I think Crisis was a better written story as well. While Secret Wars made a ripple in Marvel, Crisis was a rebirth in DC, mostly for the better.

Well, not even close to BSG, but since I was a fan of the original Dr. Who I think they did a good job and stayed as true to the original as they could. I was surprised. I thought it would be Americanized, but the British element dominated still. They are probably running it over there simultaneously. Now we just need a remake of Buck Rogers.

I'm pissed. They should have had the knife fight. Though all in all a good little short.

This is not as bad as the clone saga. The costume is not meant to be a permanent change. His original costume will come back 2007. I would love if they incorporated some of the features of the new costume into his old design like the eye pieces, and the body armor. The three extra appendages is stupid. For Peter Parker being a brillant mind his web formula has been the onely thing to have changed since the 70's.
I'm not thrilled with the new story line as a whole. There is the occasional bright spot. This Peter Parker is not the one Spider-man fans love. He is too serious most of the time, and not as care free as we were used to seeing him. The Ultimate Spider-man title is more what the character should be like. I know Bendis has gone wild killing people and making large jumps, but he captures the essence of Spider-man; A good person, who has alot of bad luck. For every long running title you have some down times. I think STRACZYNSKI is a good writer, but not for Amazing Spider-man. Though there have been others who have been much worse. I think Straczynski should write an original character that he would have free rein to develop and not have to worry about established origins. The new bullet concept seems intriguing though.

Crap, I forgot that it was coming out. It has been so long since the last one. There goes a chunk of time. I'm sure this will be as good as the others. This may be the best series I have ever read.

Has anyone ever pondered why a warrior race such as the Klingons would use cloaking technology? It seems they would feel that is cowardly like the Romulans.

Well, if you haven't watched the movie you may not want to read any further. This is my view on the new trilogy and what I would have done differently. I liked the third movie, but I feel this triology could have been so much more. George Lucas did what he excels at with this movie; visual effects. It's hard to castigate someone such as him, that is why I believe the trilogy has fallen short what it could have been. I believe either Lucas cared more for making money than putting together a coherent well written story, or he believes he is above letting others re-write his script when obviously it fell short of the original Star Wars Trilogy. Bear with me as I decant on the changes I would have made. The first is the whole trilogy would have had a darker beginning. Anakin's life as a slave would not have been a well kept boy. It would have been hard and rough with a lot of internal and external scarring. I would have started the movie with Obi Wan, landing on Tatooine and finding a young boy strong in the force who has killed his master after much abuse, and after losing his mom. The background plot of the Palpatine moving the pieces to assume control would still be there, but during the first movie Anakin would have grown to a teenager, and developed powers beyond others of his age. During the first movie Anakin would have come to love Palpatine's daughter, and Palpatine would have schemed to have her killed to propel Anakin one step closer to the dark side, but only after she secretly had two children of Anakins. This would show how evil Palpatine is, and give another step to the dark side. The second step would have been a series of steps to push Anakin to Palpatine and it would have been a show down with Obi Wan by the end of the second movie, with Anakin about to destory Obi Wan, but some timely assistance saved Obi Wan and knocked Anakin into the lava pit. He used the force to hold most of the lava back, and pull himself to land. Then Darth Vader is born. The third would have had Darth Vader hunting down the Jedi with the assistance of the Storm Troopers. I feel that would have been a more satisfying story line. This is just a quick ranting, obviously with some brainstorming, and some tweaks this could have been a story line most original Star Wars fans would have loved to see. Please comment.

Superman/Batman title is fantastic to. Uncanny X-men is picking up since Clarmont has started writing again. Amazing Spider-man with Straczynski, is ver fresh and original. He has an excellent writing style.

Just wanted to expand the board, since it is getting very busy. Also, wanted to mention a book, I think you guys will love. It's called, "A song of Fire & Ice". It is written by George R.R. Martin. It is one of the best books about political intrigue I have read. It is one you can not put down. It is set in medevial times, just not on this earth. It hints at magic, but unlike D&D which is filled with magic. Check it out. I'm sure you will be hooked.

Hippos
Like dinner at the Olive Garden, Hippos are disgusting. When the male hippo is pretty sure one of the ladies in his neck of the woods is ready to get down to business, he seduces her in a way that even the majority of Cracked staff have never engaged in, at least not more than once.
Like a sly poon hunter out at the bars, the hippo positions himself where his potential mate can see him. Then he shits himself. To be fair, he also pisses at the same time. Obviously that alone is hardly going to impress the discerning lady hippo (any jackass can shit himself), so to prove he's got the goods, the male will spin his tail like a shit-flinging propeller at the same time, spraying about stink and filth which will be, apparently, irresistible to some of the local women folk.
