There hasn't been a new subject here in a while, so check out this link: www.mobilemag.com/content/100/102/C2393/Short term this is a creative concept, but long term our society will have no use for it. Everyone will have hand size computers, or smaller in the future so even digital paper will have no place in the real world.

Yahoo tool bar with Anti spyware, and pop up blocker will work wonders. You probably have adware that is causing all the pop ups. It's a free program that will rid you of alot of invasive spyware. You can get it for Explorer, and mozilla. Just go here. toolbar.yahoo.com/?.cpdl=iy

I haven't had any problems. Is your computer's security ultra high where it cannot accept any cookies? That may be one possibility. I will look through the help files.

They have not released if it is a monthly charge, but I'm pretty sure it will be. The software will probably run $50, then hopefully it will be a reasonable fee. They estimate only a few hundred users to a 1,000.

I had a thought, if we rigged up camera's we could play D&D online. I'm sure Eric & Derrick has a high speed connection. And Wong probably has high speed connection. Kev and Myself has a highspeed connection, and we could set aside a few hours a week and game. What do you guys think?

With most who visit the board 512 is the minimum I would recommend, but as Wong stated, for serious gamers, 2 gig is preferable with the graphic intensive games on the market.

Yes, another board. Here I will try to pass on what I find very helpful for navigating the internet and tips and tricks. Plus, if you have a computer problem, I will try to help, since I have a penchant for computers I have found. First for discussion is web browser. I know 77% of you guys use some version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. 15% use AOL, browser, and the rest use others such as Mozilla, and Opera. No not Oprah. I use Firefox by Mozilla. It is safer and opens tabs instead of opening a new window, which uses less resources from your computer. It is much safer to at present than internet explorer for spyware, and general security breaches. The web site is: www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/My favorite option is by far the tab option though, if you use it I think you will love it.

What is the deal with the short seasons for both of the StarGates? I know they were going to get rid of Stargate, but Atlantis will still be around right?

Who on the board watches Nip Tuck? It's new Season launches this coming Tuesday. I really enjoy the show for it's original writing. Being that it is disturbing and twisted doesn't hurt either.

I'm kind of a picky reader and know some others may be to. I would like to see what others are reading and what they suggest.
Some of my favorites are: A song of fire and Ice by R.R. Martin. The first few books have some of the best political intrigue I have ever read. He has some of the most realistic characters as well. It is fantasy genre, but just hints at magic.
A second series that started off great is the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. He is not as talented as Martin, but creates an interesting new world with a different take on magic. The first 5 books are so are a very good read, but the last few have became preachy, and he turns a likable main character into an almost despisable character.
I also enjoy most of Greenwoods Elminster books, though the last one with his daughter was lackluster.
For Sci-fi the Foundation Triology, and the Robot series by Asimov are fantastic especially considering when he first wrote the earlier books.

After looking at that Gif I think it is fan-made. It looks like Spawn and the mummy. I was disappointed when I saw it. So, does anyone think Venom will be the next bad guy, or someone else?
