I didn't make it to Steve's place, we went to Knoxville instead. Scott got a veteran Subby and I got a veteran Kang and a veteran Darkseid from a box of Icons.
When are we going to play again?

I'm sure we will play sometime this week. I've been told Family Video will be ordering a new batch soon.

Where were you last night Al? Really had nice luck with a DC Icons box I bought at Gameboard. Managed to get an experienced Superman and Veteran Wonder Woman out of the same box. I thought you said gameboard never had good pulls? I think the new box design makes it harder to tamper with. I pulled an Adam Strange and Al pulled a Manhattan Guardian out of the last two Collateral Damage boosters at the Fat Man's.

After looking around a bit I see that I can buy either a case of Hypertime or a case of Infinity Challenge for about $70 bucks. Which works out to something like $1.50 per booster. Of the two which would be better to buy if I decide to go ahead and do it?
Hypertime looks pretty good with Doomsday, Superman, Brainiac 13, Sinestro, and a few others. Infinity Challenge looks like it might be better with Firelord, Thanos, Magneto, Kang, Nightmare, Sabretooth, Wolverine and Ultron and a few others.

May I ask where you found such a great price for a case?

Several people on E-Bay have them for $49.95 plus $18-20 for S/H. They have the independents for even cheaper per case. I think I saw a case of them for $35 or so plus S&H.
You can get cases of the newer stuff for a fairly good price as well. Fantastic Forces is $89+$15 S&H, which works out to $2.20 per booster. You can get a case of Icons for around $95+$20 S&H which works out to $2.40 per booster.
The newest stuff is a little higher per case, but still well short of the $7-8 per booster that it sells for in stores.

You cant go wrong with few firelords. Superman is always nice to have, however, thanos has incredible numbers.

Ultron is a beast and so is Kang. Supes was underpowered in Hypertime. But the unique Jay Garrick Flash from hypertime is a great killer of support characters and the best cheap healer in the game is Checkmate medic in Hypertime.

We need to call or go in and point out that there is a market for them. He hadn't sold many recently until everybody regained interest in them

I just bought a Nightmare and a Vet Doomsday off e-bay. The guy had $2.50 or best offer on Nightmare and $1.50 or best offer on Doomsday. I got both of them for $2.50 after he accepted my best offer. The stores in Knoxville that sell them individually (I found two) all want $5 bucks for each Vet and more for the uniques.

Nightmare is a great piece, we unerdutilize him, however he has really good numbers. Doomsday is always a good puncher, especially in indoor maps when you can use him to corner someone. You can never go wrong with any figure who has hypersonic speed. Pick up a couple of those when you can. Black adam has hyper speed, hits for five and is only 150 points. Welcome to the club crack head.

I just got off the phone with the guy at FV and he told me he could order them but he didn't really know enough about them to know what to order. He said the newest ones for pre-order were pricey but that he could get older sets. I asked him to try and get Legacy or Unleashed from DC if he could because those sets have some powerhouses in them that I don't have. Y'all should either stop by or call him and give him some ideas.
