I have a power dampening field card that makes everyone with damage higher than 3 come down to 3. That would be pretty effective against some of the KC gang and a few other 5 damage folks. Mostly I seem to get bystander tokens.

That sucks. There area couple of ok bystander tokens but they are the poor stepchild of the cards.

The only decent one at all that I have is Eddie Flyers who has 8 movement, an attack value of 9, a range of 6 with 2 bolts, and does 2 damage. If he could hit two people for 2 clicks before getting wiped out he would have earned his 9 points.

Is there going to be a game tonight? If not, I'm going bowling.

We played a single game last night. Nothing to write home about but hopefully we will get to play more this week.

Excellent learning experience this evening. Ultimate Thor and Count Nefaria are tough to handle when Sue Richards, Destiny, and medics are around.
My plan for dealing with Al's Black Adam worked fairly well as Doomsday was able to knock the crap out of him after Lockjaw carried him into position.
Now I think I have a plan that will work against a set up like Stevie used tonight with his Thor and Nefaria with the support that I couldn't seem to hit. Mainly because I rarely rolled more than a 6 and never seemed to do it twice in a row when Destiny forced me to reroll. It involves a heavy hitter like Kang, with some PD/Hydra team members to ramp his attack up to 15 so all I will need to do is not roll a critical miss or a 3 to defeat Sue's 18 defense protection of the characters around her. In a 500 point game I can get a very good taxi system for Kang and his support to pull this off.
Either that or I can just use power dampening and make them much less frightning. Characters who can deal 3 Damage and have psychic blast become pretty big in a power dampened game.

unfortunatley when ultimate thor hits you, you usually die. Black Adam stood no chance when he was ganged up on by Thor and doomsday. Medics and Thor should always die first. No question!

I could have played alot smarter with my ranged attackers last night too. I should have moved Darkseid out of probability control range and fired with him from 12 away. Knowing that I can outwit defend will also help me a great deal. Like I said, it was a learning experience. Everytime I play right now I see new figures and new tactics. It gets me thinking about new ways to deal with them. With a grouping like Stevie had I think my Kang gambit will work barring the dreaded snake eyes or 3 roll.

That's how we were at first. Everybody has kind of settled on their set strategies.

I have a question about the Crime Syndacate TA. The other night Al told me that if I used Owlman's probability control from his TA it counted as a turn. After reading about it, it says that you assign an action token to any friendly team member. Does this mean Owlman can use his TA and assign it as the action of another member of the team for that turn?

Yes it does.

Excellent, that makes OM even more usable. 8 movement with leap/climb, flurry and stealth. 10 attack with incap and smoke cloud, 17 defense with toughness and willpower. 3 damage with outwit, close combat expert and exploit weakness. Throw in probability control and that is a pretty good figure for under 90 points. He can hit any one on the game until his last two clicks and with smoke cloud and stealth he can put up some blocking terrain on his last two clicks to run to a medic.

Can a character with mind control, control another character with mind control?

I suppose so, but why would you want to? You want to mind control people who can wrought damage you cant. Plus you take a click of damage for every 100 points of the character you are controlling.

I realized today that I had a Jade exp with GL team ability. I could have used her to move everyone around and saved about 70 points to spend on another attacker. I may try that the next time we play.
