I got my Icons starter set. I was reading through the rulebook and came upon the knockback section. I didn't know it but knockback damage is considered seperate from the attack that caused it. It says that knockback damage is dealt and reduced seperately from the attack damage. I guess that means that you take the attack, turn the dial, then apply any damage reducing powers on the dial to see if you take knockback damage or not.
Knockback also doesn't deal damage to characters in the path of it according to these rules. They state: "If the knockback path would cross a square occupied by another character, including a soaring character, place the character in the last unoccupied square before it would cross the square occupied by another character. Stopping in this way does not deal damage to either character."
I guess this is another way we vary from the official rules and will have to be taken up at the rules meeting when we get around to having it.

My finger is hovering over the button of a buy it now Spectre....hard to resist....if I knew for sure that it was the S.O.V I'd do it...and go after TheAl's force with his 3 bolts, 16 range, 15 attack and 9 damage with outwit. Then I'd push him to do it again, since will power is part of his TA.

I am going but it will probably be Sunday before I get to go. The bright side to Sunday is alot of dealers are blowing stuff out because they don't want to pack it all back up and I think admission is 50% off the Friday and Saturday price. Some of the celebrities aren't there on Sunday, but honestly, there is no way in hell I'm going to pay 30-50 bucks for one of their autographs so that isn't a big deal to me.
Oh yeah, any clicking this week?

I'm itching to try out Ares, although it will have to be a big time point total game for him to be effective. 300 points and he is unusable, 400 maybe, 500+ he can be effective.

I pulled a unique Maximus out of a box of Sinister yesterday. SO far I ahve only seen one box opened that did not contain a unique.

Had a good time playing by the actual rules last night. Of course the game was so large that we always had a couple of people to move. It's a little slower, but actually a little easier since you don't have to worry about being attacked constantly.

in smaller games.....not the mega games you played last night . I think it actually moves quicker, Pat and i finished two 300 point games in under 45 min. And your right about the whole not getting attacked constantly thing. Makes more figures viable now.

The 1000 p[oint game was an anomoly. I'll never agree to that again unless it involves one of the super figs.
